Issue 14 - 1st September 2022
We have an amazing team of committed support staff at our school that go above and beyond their roles. Australian Teacher Aide Appreciation Week is the perfect time to celebrate the wonderful work our Teacher Assistants do in our school. We acknowledge, appreciate and recognise the positive impact of Teacher Assistants in the lives of students, teachers and families.
At St Peter Chanel, our TAs assist in a wide range of roles and activities across the school. It is evident every day that these very special people are passionate about supporting our students to overcome barriers that may impact their access and participation in learning.
We are very fortunate here at St Peter Chanel to have amazing TAs who each day continually strive, adapt, support, mentor, assist, guide and so much more to support the students they work with, as well contribute to the entire school community.
On behalf of our school and entire community, we say a big THANK YOU to all the amazing TAs. We are lucky to have you!
Mrs Kerrie Flynn
Principal

Hockey will commence in Term 4. Students are able to put their name down at the office. More information will be sent to families as it is available.
We are seeking interest from students who would like to play basketball for SPC in either a Grade 3/4 team or a Grade 5/6 team, both boys and girls in Devonport on the weekend of 29/30 October. If we don't receive enough interest then we won't register teams. We need to know numbers by Monday, 5th September. |
Congratulations to Logan Poke and Grayson Ollington who have been selected to play in the Tasmanian U13’s Hockey team. Grayson and Logan are two of the six Circular Head players to be selected. This year's competition is being held in Hobart from September 24th - October 4th. We wish the boys and all of those competing from Circular Head the best of luck.
Issue 6 is due to the office by Friday, 9th September.
In HASS this term, Year One has been learning about the features of places and how we can take care of our special places. This week we went for a wonder walk and placed the features of our school into three categories; natural, managed and constructed. We found that the farm is managed (by Mr Plaza), the playground is constructed, and the trees are natural.
This Friday, our Grade 5/6 students will be participating in Winter Sports with other Circular Head schools. A reminder that students are able to order Canteen these days as they will eat prior to leaving school. They may need a bag for wet clothes/shoes and a change of clothes or at least socks.
